Facebook sets ‘Messages’ as a standalone ad objective to boost Messenger bots

Facebook is now allowing businesses to buy ads to promote their Messenger accounts. With over 18 million companies exchanging 2 billion messages Messenger users, the platform is set to create more conversations between customers and businesses.

 

Messages can now be set as a campaign objective, allowing advertisers to make their customers aware of their Messenger accounts, including their chatbots. When a user clicks on a Facebook ad with this objective, a conversation with the brand’s Messenger opens up.
