Hey Snapchat, Instagram Stories is here to steal your spotlight


Instagram introduced Instagram Stories two weeks ago, a new feature that lets users share all the moments of their day. The photos and videos will disappear after 24 hours and will not appear on users’ profile grids or feeds. While the features of Snapchat and Instagram Stories are similar, Instagram seems to be gaining higher traction because of its clearer interface, along with the fact that it was built on an already hugely popular platform – Instagram has double the daily active users of Snapchat!

Facebook is giving users a chance to relive the best parts of their birthday


Facebook is rolling out a new video tool that automatically creates a video the day after your birthday to highlight photos and messages from friends. You will see the video (the day after your birthday) at the top of your New Feed, where you can watch a preview of the 45-second clip.

Facebook has also announced that they will roll out a new tool that allows users to record special birthday videos for their friends.
